My Story

I am a mom to two beautiful girls, living in NC working on building this business. 

My art journey is a little unconventional. I didn't start drawing until 2021 at the age of 37. Now I've doodled as long as I can remember and even attempted to draw at times but I never put too much effort in to it. In 2017 I began what I call my focused self-growth journey. After a few tumultuous years, by the end of 2020 I was in a place mentally & emotionally to focus on "my thing." I had no idea what that was. I had attempted a few times over the years to sell handmade items and quilting services. I have been a sewer and quilter since my teens and quilting is a major creative outlet for me even now. While I could make a living quilting, it takes an enormous amount of money and skill to make money. And I knew very few people actually making a great living doing it. But through quilting I became familiar with some fabric designers. In January 2021 I saw an IG post by Stacie Bloomfield of Gingiber about a free class offered by another designer, Bonnie Christine. I have followed both women since the beginnings of their respective careers and have watched as they began to truly flourish. That free class I took a chance on in February 2021 started me on the path that has led to you reading this after a couple years of inner growth, persistence, and practice on my part. I am here. 

This is a new, scary and exciting adventure for me and I am so glad you are here for the ride!
